Our HOME Group is tackling the study that came with the 2006 movie, Facing The Giants. Many of us felt led to dig deeper into God's Word as it related to the issues raised by the film, and the DVD comes with materials for further study. I'll blog a bit on what moved me on each topic.
What is the value of giving your best? God asks it of us. In Christ Jesus, we can have wholehearted attitudes about everything we do.
Prove to me that you trust God... if you can. If your life doesn't match what you know is true from Scripture, then you aren't "preparing for rain".
If you can put genuine trust in God and His promises, then you should be prepared for His calling to do the impossible things in life.
What does it mean to persevere when feeling defeated? Try fostering an attitude of spiritual ambition.
What does it mean to love God more than anything else? It goes deeper than realizing that you're too focused on worldly things.
Are you chasing after the wind in the life? It is only natural to seek out the meaning and purpose for our lives. God is clear on where we should look.
